Creating the perfect “Pride Ready” drink, So Gay is a sparkling rosé, with a higher purpose. The brand aims to reclaim language which has previously been used negatively towards the LGBTQ+ community and rephrase it into a positive. From “so gay” to “so great”, the drink wants to bring people together to live their most authentic, colourful self.

2. Xula Herbs

Feeling good in one’s own skin

Xula Herbs is a Queer Latina and Black-owned hemp brand that specialises in hemp-derived tinctures to benefit a wide array of hormones. The brand which means “feeling good in one’s own skin”, creates products that are designed to dignify and amplify those that are left out of society’s gaze including trans, non-binary and menopausal bodies.

3. Absolut

Out and open

Building on 40 years of allyship to LBGTQ+ communities, Absolut Vodka have launched their ‘Out & Open’ initiative, in partnership with actor and comedian Bowen Yang. By providing resources to the business owners of LGBTQ+ bars and restaurants, the brand wants to help ensure the future of safe spaces for the community.

In addition, Absolut will also be launching an audio-visual series that highlights stories from these community members, with $1 being donated to the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce for every listen. ISSUE 29 JUNE 2022

4. Skittles

Skittles are back with their annual pride packs, which traditionally transformed to grey, have changed this year to be created by six LGBTQ+ artists to represent how they “see the rainbow” every day. With a scannable QR code on the pack design, consumers can visit a virtual studio to learn more about the artists and their story behind the designs, with $1 for every pack purchased being donated to GLAAD.

5. LuvJus

Inspired by experiences at their first International Pride, Founders George and Owen created LuvJus with the idea of ‘celebrating and benefiting’ anyone who purchases it. The alcoholic craft vodka is an award-winning gluten-free and vegan-friendly drink, available in two flavours to enjoy – pineapple, mint, ginseng and jasmine or blood orange and pomegranate.
